July Rewind

I've decided to do a monthly rewind of all the books I read that month. I got this idea from http://www.thebookrat.com when I stumbled upon her vlogs on Youtube.

Fifty Shades of Grey
by E L James

Fifty Shades Darker
by E L James

Fifty Shades Freed
by E L James

Anastasia Steele is asked by her sick roommate to fill in for her during an interview for a highly successful man, Christian Grey, for their college magazine. Once there Anastasia is her clumsy self and although she thinks Mr. Grey is quite handsome she doesn't think she made a good impression. She attempts to forget about him. However, he has other things in mind. As Anastasia gets to know Christian she learns things she's never heard of before, does things she has never done before. Is this what she wants? Is this the type of person she wants to be with? What if she wants more?
This trilogy takes you through a non conventional relationship. Along with Christian and Anastasia's struggle for power. This book has a lot of mature content and should not be read by a younger audience.

I thought this series was amazing! This is definitely a book I'd recommend my friends to read.

by Lisa Verge Higgins

"We all want to protect our friends from heartbreak. So Dhara, Kelly, Wendy, and Marta had sworn to uphold these rules: 1. Choose Your Own Man, 2. Make Sure Your Friends Approve, 3. No One-Night Stands, 4. Trust Your Instincts, 5. Never Make the Same Mistake Twice, 6. After a Break-Up, Wait Six Months Before Dating Again.

But now Dhara is accepting her traditional Indian parents' choice for a husband. Kelly is secretly dating someone her friends know well but will never approve of. Engaged Wendy doubts her instincts and may be about to make the same mistake twice. And Marta doesn't want to wait six months to find love because her biological clock is ticking.

So hearts are about to be broken and friendships will be tested. Can you break the rules of romance and still find true love?"

Witch & Wizard THE GIFT
by James Patterson

"Whit and Wisty have established themselves as leaders of the Resistance, willing to sacrifice anything to save kids kidnapped and brutally imprisoned by the New Order. But the One has other plans in store for them: He needs Wisty, for she is "The One Who Has the Gift."

I am loving this story! However, the end of book 1 and book 2 leave you hanging, big time! I am glad I have all three books otherwise I'd be making a run to Walmart to buy them, I wouldn't be able to wait until the next morning to start the next book.

  1. I haven't finished the 50 Shades series yet... It's not that I didn't like the first one, it was just a bit too intense to immediately jump into the rest of them... But I'm gonna work my way back to them.
